With nearly 15 years of experience in comprehensive wealth planning, Jeanne Krigbaum joined 1834 in 2021 and leads the team of wealth planners across the firm’s multi-state footprint. She was previously an estate planning attorney in the Twin Cities for six years prior to transitioning to the planning team at a large wealth management firm. It was after this transition that Jeanne really began to see the value of goals-based planning. While she loves to help drive these conversations, she appreciates that more time and attention can be given to clients and truly uncovering their goals when their entire relationship team is part of the planning process. Jeanne completed her undergraduate degree at Bemidji State University, where she was a member of the women’s golf team, and then went on to receive her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law.

The belief at 1834 is that every client, regardless of net worth, should have a comprehensive, documented plan outlining short- and long-term financial goals. Jeanne, through her time and that of her team of tenured wealth planners, ensures that pledge is fulfilled. She and her team will:

  • Conduct a formal planning session with the support of the 1834 wealth advisors to explore clients’ financial goals and outline any opportunities or challenges that may aid or inhibit their progress.
  • Document and share clients’ wealth plans with their expanded 1834 team and any external advisors (if desired) to ensure the broader wealth management team and any outside attorneys or CPAs are in lockstep.

Jeanne and her family live in the suburbs of Minneapolis. Outside of work, Jeanne enjoys golfing, hiking and spending time with family and friends – the more the merrier. Jeanne is also active in the community and currently serves as a Legacy Advisor at Children’s Minnesota.
