Nick Schmidt has nearly a decade of investment, financial planning and relationship management experience. As a wealth advisor for 1834, a division of Old National Bank, he combines his deep knowledge of portfolio management with a disciplined, consultative and educational approach to help guide individuals, families and business leaders toward their specific goals.
Prior to moving into his wealth advisor role at 1834, he served as the dedicated investment officer within the trust/wealth management group in Ann Arbor and Tecumseh, where his responsibilities included corporate and institutional investment services along with ETF and equity research. Before joining Old National, Nick was a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley.
Nick is passionate about helping his clients work toward achieving financial freedom so they can enjoy the wealth they’ve created. He strives to not only deliver sound, objective advice, but more importantly, build long-term relationships for multiple generations.
Nick approaches his practice with a client-first mindset by:

Nick received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University and is a CFA Charterholder, which is recognized as the gold standard within the financial industry.
